the Web's most popular site for downloading software, has announced that WinZip, a file compression software utility, is on
the verge of hitting the 5 million downloads mark. More copies of WinZip
have been downloaded from Download.com's
software library than any other title in the history of the site and WinZip
is currently onde of the service's most frequently requested pieces of software,
averaging 90,000 downloads per week. WinZip
will reach the 5 million threshould just 18 months after the product debuted on
Download.com.
