Hello everyone!
I just received the Navy (a.k.a. Blue) Screen of Death after a big trap on my Windows 2000 Professional. Interesting, I'm working just fine in Safe Mode! (hehehehe......). I'm just making this little report and updating my web site in Safe Mode without any problem!!!

Hi Folks.
I was working just fine on my Windows 2000 Professional when a trap occurred and I received the Navy Screen of Death with this information:

*** STOP: (0x00000000,0x000000001,0x80440099)
IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL

*** Adress 80440099 base at 80400000,-ateStamp 371fa176 - ntoskrln.exe

If this is the first time you've seen this Stop error screen, restart your computer. If this screen appears again, follow these steps:
Check to make sure any new hardware or software is properly installed. If this is a new installation, ask your hardware or software manufacturer for any Windows 2000 updates you might need.
If problems continue, disable or remove any newly installed hardware or software. Disable BIOS memory options such sa caching or shadowing. Check you hard drive to make sure it is properly configured and terminated. If you need to use Safe Mode to remove or disable commponents, restart you computer, press F8 to select Advanced Startup Options, and then select Safe Mode.

Refer to your Getting Started manual for more information on troubleshooting Stop errors.

Well, with the system freezes I turned off my machine clicking the power key and rebooted pressing F8. If CHKDSK was performed an AUTOCHECK I don't know because I received not any information and the boot was occurred quickly. Just the Black Screen of Safe Mode is displayed I discovered that Windows 2000 was repaired itself completely and I can works just fine!!! Well, and the problem, what is it? Simple! I discovered that Windows 2000 trapped me because a bad contact in my videocard! I examined my entire HDD using my ZTree (I'm registered user for OS/2 Warp - ZtreeBold and for Windows - ZTreeWin, both from BMT Micro). In the photo below you can see my ZTreeWin running in Safe Mode.

When I concluded my work and my web site was updated I returned to the Windows 2000 normal mode without any problem and all is running fine here!
