Hi All!
Unfortunately I'm just crashed here by IomegaWare 2.0. I downloaded this big bundle (11,3 megabytes), installed it in order to activate my ZIP Drive and crashed!

Last Sunday I installed without problems on my new IDE (Windows 2000 Professional Beta 3) JBuilder 2.0 from Borland and I was working just fine in a new project when I decided visit the Iomega web site. During three months I was working on this new IDE lacking my ZIP Drive 100MB parallel port because Win 2000 can't install it! The problem is that this drive is normally installed as a SCSI device by Windows NT - and runs fine on NT4 SP5 with the prior Iomegaware (only 915KB) - but this Windows NT 5.0 now called Windows 2000 simply don't install it because IomegaWare does not support Windows 2000 technology. In a anterior report I related here this fact.
This last Sunday September 12 I was very excited with my JBuilder running fine on Win 2000 and because I discovered that Windows 2000 Pro Beta 3 will not expire never because a bug! I restarted my test machine with a new date, 09/12/2002 and my Windows 2000 continued running fine! (Also I discovered that the registered version of WindowBlinds will expire in the arrival of the Year 2000!) I subscribed dozens of mailing lists and my robot is deleting all incoming messages just because I've not time at the moment for read hundreds emails at each day. But an email from a Windows 2000 mailing list was passed:

"Hi All. The new IomegaWare has been released!"

Quickly I visited the Iomega web site, downloaded the version 2.0 and installed it apparently without problems and I can see my ZIP Drive in <My Computer> by the first time, as you also can see it in the photo below:

Well, I was more excited with this success and quickly I inserted a disk in my ZIP in order to copy data from my new Java compiler. Just I clicked the icon my Windows 2000 freezes and I'm forced to reboot. I performed a shutdown and when the reboot is finished I received the Navy Screen of Dead (yeaaahhh, man, Navy, because Blue is only in NT 3.51 and 4.0; in NT 5.0 the colour os this screen is exactly Navy):

"***STOP:0,0000007B(0xF741B84C,0xC0000034,0x00000000,0x00000000)
INACCESSIBLE-BOOT-DEVICE
If this is the first time you,ve seen this Stop error screen, restart your computer. If this screen appears again, follow these steps:
Check for viruses on your computer. Remove any newly installed hard drives or hard drive controllers. Check your hard drive to make sure it is properly configured and terminated.
Run CHKDSK/F to check for hard drive corruption, and then restart your computer.
Refer to your Getting Started manual for more information on troubleshooting Stop errors."

I supposed that will be simple solve this problem but I was deceived. For several hours I tried repair the damaged and all taks I performed was simply good-for-nothing! I tried all options: Safe Mode, Console Mode, Last Good Configuration, Repair, Reinstall and...nothing! I observed that the new IomegaWare was installed four new SCSI drivers (for all devices that Iomega made) and I removed all using the Device Manager. But I've not success. Finally I decided try a clean install but when I be come in the devices installation step the plug and play was failed:

"Installing devices
Setup is installing devices on your computer.
Please wait while Setup detects and installs devices such as your keyboard and mouse. This will take several minutes. During this time, your screen may flicker for a few seconds."

I performed this step five times and the task can't be completed. Only 50 per cent is concluded and in the latest time I wait oin line no several minutes but several hours!
Now I'm working on my old IDE and I just performed a complete check disk on all Windows 2000 partitions from my NT4 SP5. This Monday I will try a new Windows 2000 complete clean installation.
