Pro 5.5 Webmaster Suite Tested on Win 2000

Hi Folks.
I'm registered user of HotDog Professional 5.5 Webmaster Suite and sincerely
I consider it simply the most important and powerful bundle of tools currently
available in all the World for a serious webmaster. Sausage Software didn't
adopted at this time the WYSIWYG (design mode) for HotDog by the following reasons:
![]()
"We've done a lot of
listening to you guys over the last 6 months. We've heard a lot of people who
like HotDog Professional the way it is, "No WYSIWYG, just make it faster
and more powerful". We've had people say, "I would love to have WYSIWYG
in HotDog. Well, we've taken all this into consideration and we're happy to
announce beta versions of the "HotDog Web Authoring Family"
Well, this decision is an important footstep in
direction to the new era that is incoming with the advent of the Year 2000.
If I'm a serious webmaster I don't know. But my web site have actually above
three thousand pages running on the Net and I update dozens of pages several
times at the day, everyday. I work alone and I'm old man. I consider that design
mode is primordial for increase productivity. I generate my code manually using
Boxer programmer's editor from David Hamel on OS/2 Warp and Windows platforms
and using Emacs on UNIX. This year, 1999, I decided migrate my principal IDE
to Windows 2000 Professional and I can say sincerely: my productivity was really
increased!!! I tested ALL web editors available on the Net and I choosed Namo
3.0 just because it fantastic, smooth ad reliable design mode. But in my heart,
sincerely, the best in show is HotDog, because is the most powerful web editor
that I saw! Now Sausage finally agree to design mode idea an was started his
beta test program. I downloaded the beta (above 7 megabytes) and just tested
it on Windows 2000 Professional Beta 3. HotDog WIZ is running just fine here
guys!!!

Testing
HotDog PageWiz:
This version of PageWiz is classified as a Beta, which means that it pretty much looks and does what we want it to but most functions haven't been tested thoroughly and there are still some functions to be implemented.
Although the program is likely to crash or operate in a wierd manner, it is extremely important for people like yourself to be using and playing with it at this stage. You can help us isolate areas of the program that aren't working properly, give us feedback about areas that you don't understand or tell us about things that you would like to see in PageWiz. At this stage of development, your feedback will more than likely help shape how the final program will turn out.
Important tips for testing:
Don't install Alpha or Beta software on computers that are critical for your day to day life: sometimes we cannot anticipate the result of installing software on certain system configurations and it may break your computer. In the photo below you can see HotDog Page Wiz being installed without problems on @Macarlo's Windows 2000 Professional Beta 3:

Failing the above don't use Alpha or Beta software for critical work: as mentioned above software at this stage of development is bound to crash now and again and you may permanently lose what you were working on at the time.
Using the BugZappa to give us constructive and descriptive (very descriptive) feedback: We've created a handy little wizard called BugZappa that helps you send us speedy and relevant feedback about our products. Simply download BugZapper and use it to report any problems or bugs you encounter.
Remember:
When describing your problems please remember comments like "the program doesn't do what I wanted it to, it sucks, you guys suck..., etc." or "the program crashed..." don't help us in the slightest. When you send us feedback you need to describe your experience in great detail or we won't know what you are talking about, and we won't be able to fix it. To fix bugs we need to isolate the reason for the problem and the quickest way to do this is the process of elimination and being able to consistently reproduce the problem by doing something specific. If you can do this elimination and concisely describe how you reproduced the problem, we will be able to fix it a lot quicker
