Folks, I'm just involved with a desktop bug on Windows 2000 Professional Beta 3. I installed the latest version of WSFTP Pro and a phantom object was created, as you can see in the photo above. I can't delete this object and can't move it to any folder in order to destroy it. This phantom object is calling for nothing and have not pop-up menu for properties. WSFTP Pro is running just fine but the unexpected object can't be removed and I'm going to Console Mode in order to solve this problem. Today August 14 I tested here several programs and all are running just fine, as you can see in the photos below:
ZTreeWin

Take Command

InfoCourier
(16 bits)

If you are also testing Windows 2000 Professional
Beta 3 I recommend that you performs a backup of your Registry before each installation
of all aplications you are interested in evaluate on this new platform. With
this simple providence you save time and can restore easy the configuration
if any application bombes your Registry tree with ilegal entries. Using the
export function of Regedit you can perform this task in secure form. I'm using
here Resplendent Registrar because the automated backup and at this time I've
not any problem with this tool.
