The new version of Weasel is at

or via my web pages (see signature). This version correctly saves
failed mail for retransmission, and will re-try for approximately four
days before giving up. (First frequently, and then about twice per
day - a total of 15 retries.) On shutdown, it remembers which
messages haven't yet been sent, i.e. nothing should be lost if
you stop the server and then later re-start it.
This version should be fully functional, i.e. both the POP and SMTP
parts should work properly. There are still a few options that I need
to implement, and there are a couple of outstanding bug reports where
I haven't yet managed to work out how to reproduce the error, but
since you've been waiting so long for this version I thought I'd better
release it without further delay.
