Hi All... I was just thinking how very expensive is a good photo editor, as Adobe Photoshop (just because its high price people in all the world pirated it) when I received an interesting e-mail from Victor Sazhin: VCW VicMan's Photo Editor 7.0 was released! This fine piece of software is a must-have tool for handling Christmas holiday snapshots: The editor is available at the developer's website: http://www.vicman.net. Both Freeware and PRO Versions of VCW VicMan's Photo Editor 7.0 are Available On Request. Additionally, VicMan Software is ready to give away several more PRO version copies as prizes for contests, lotteries and quizzes. Quickly I downloaded the file phedinst.exe (4.8MB) and installed it in few minutes on my Windows XP Professional + SP1 (NTFS) without problems. Also in few minutes I was using this nice photo editor, really intuitive and functional. Using VicMan's Photo Editor you can create paintings, background images for your website, buttons (pressed or not pressed styles) and you have built-in in this soft a nice collection of backgrounds (Sapphire) and the excellent Harry's Filters. VicMan's Photo Editor have also the ability to import the Adobe Photoshop plugins you need, but note that in this case you must have the appropriate dll running just fine for VicMan's PE. VCW VicMan's Photo Editor is a versatile image editor with intuitive, original, easy-to-learn interface and a variety of features. · Fills - fill the selected area with foreground or background color
· Color selection and replacement - Replace with Background, Exclusive Replace with Background. Replace selected colors with the colors of your choice. These effects apply to a selected area or the whole image
· Selection tools - Select Region, Select by Color, Lasso. Select rectangular or freeform areas for editing
· Move Region - Move a selected area around the image
· Text tool - Insert text objects using a dialog window. Apply font styles (italics, bold, underline) and use anti-aliasing tools
· Gradient tool: fill a selected area with linear gradient from the foreground to the background color
· External and internal cloning tools: clone the image using its part or another image as a source (PRO version only)
