UniMaint is one of the most important tools for OS/2 Warp repair and maintenance. Originally developed for GammaTech (SoftTouch Systems, Inc.), Unimaint is a program wrote by the OS/2 programmer Larry J. Martin. This programmer lived in São Paulo State, Brazil, in the years 70. Unimaint is for OS/2 the same tool as Norton Utilities is for Windows...and more! UniMaint install and uninstall programs, clean, repair, backup restore and edit the INI files. In the photo below you can see my UniMaint running fine on my OS/2 Client Warp 4.5 (Warp 4.0 + FP13).

Here is a professional tool, made by a great professional, for professionals. But any OS/2 beginner user can use it easy, because UniMaint is very intuitive and have a nice and friendly interface. When the user commands any action, UniMaint ask the user about several items in order to safeguard his system. UniMaint indicates the correct choice for each case and the user can chose the correct option. In the photo below you can see some UniMaint files inside my FileStar/2, also purchased in BMT Micro, Inc.

All problems I encountered in Warp 3.0 and in Warp 4.0 I solved it using UniMaint. The UniMaint developer is not a simple merchant such some developers that you can see today. He is an idealist, devoted to the OS/2 cause. UniMaint is a soft not expensive and I purchased my registered version in BMT Micro, Inc. Actually UniMaint is available in the FileStar/2 web site. If you are an OS/2 Warp user you can't live without this tool.

The new CSD Update announcement
Several miscellaneous fixes are included, most notably one for WPS
repair where Deskman/2 has been installed and an Uninstller situation
that caused a couple of users to get trapped in the function with no
exit path. It is recommended that all user update their program with
this CSD.

For users unfamiliar with UniMaint, it is a widely program for
desktop backup, WPS and INI file repairs and clean up and includes a
Unistaller to uninstall other programs. If your system seems sluggish
and you do not use a cleanser of the OS/2 INI files, you certainly
may improve your system reliability and speed by doing so.
