I, @Macarlo, registered user of 212 OS/2 programs am also registered user of the most powerfull programmer's editor actually available in all the World, the famous TSE32 Pro (The SemWare Editor), presently in v2.80. Since 1997 I used not it because I've totaly dedicated to OS/2. But the times are changing and I decide to be dedicated to universal platform - Java - and no more stay linked at only one principal Operating System. I decided works with StarOffice because StarOffice is just this freedom sinonyme: using StarOffice I works fine on OS/2 Warp, Unix and Windows.

On NT 4.0 I'm currently using TSE32 Pro to edit and to depure HTML code.On OS/2 IDE formted in HPFS have not problems with viruses, but my NT IDE is vulnerable - I'm using FAT to improve conectivity with other platforms. Recently I was bombed by a strange virus that replicates TAGs. In certain .html page this virus has inserted 46 replications of <A HREF="urlname"> per page, invalidating an entire document with dozens pages. But I solve this problem quickly using TSE32 Pro with a personalized syntax highlightning that Sammy Mitchel, from SemWare, made for me (thanks a lot, Sammy!). I identificated in seconds the

replication location and depurated the code cuting entire blocks. The document decreases 30KB and stay fine here!

Tips by Sammy Mitchell

Do you want to compile your Perl or Java scripts from TSE Pro/32? The latest version of the compile command adds support for these two languages, plus several fixes and enhancements. See the read.me in the compile.zip for a list of changes and installation instructions.

Having problems with the TSE Pro/32 CUAmark (or shift cursor marking) facility? This version contains several fixes, plus automatically configures itself the first time it is run, allowing you to turn certain features on/off.

A new version of the TSE Pro/32 sort command is available. Changes include better error diagnostics, better support for Windows NT specific issues, and better support for files with embedded spaces in their names.

GUI version update - the compile macro now sort of / kind of works with the new editor. We use the compile and the cmpfiles macros as early benchmarks of the new editor. Once we can get both of them working (without extensive changes), I will be much happier about the newversion. While we still have lots of things to get working right (thecmpfiles macro is not working quite so well <sigh>), the new editor isalmost in a usable state. Stay tunedOctober 1, 1998 - tips and notesHave you ever wanted to be able to make changes to the "View Finds"

or "Compressed View" file, and then have those changes propagated back into the original file, at the appropriate place? Here is a little macro I came up with to do just that. How do you wrap all paragraphs in a file? It is easy if you are using one of the standard .ui files. Simply select (or mark) the entire file, and then invoke WrapPara, either via its key assignment or the menu.Work is still continuing on TSE Pro/32, the GUI version.
