StarOffice 5.0 Personal Edition
(free) for OS/2 has just been released by StarDivision. You can now go to Stardivision
clicking the logo above to register and download the office suite for free. The
file is large, however, weighing in at 62 MB.

I just downloaded the StarOffice 5.0 Personal Edition using Netscape 4.04 via the
HTTP protocol. The download completed, but there was a minor problem with the progress
bar on the Saving dialog. While the download rate, and number of bytes downloaded
worked OK, the progress bar and the percentage complete did not agree. By the time
the download completed, the percent complete only read 27 %. The progress bar was
about half way accross, which agrees with neither the actual download or the percent
complete. I never have seen either problem before, although I have downloaded many
files. None of the files I previously downloaded approached the size of this one
(75402K, or 77,211,660 bytes)
