Photo shows WPS replaced by SO on @Macarlo's Warp 4.0

If you are fanatic SO user you can replace the OS/2 Warp WorkPlaceShell (WPS) simple updating you config.sys.
Replace this line:
SET RUNWORKPLACE=X:\OS2\PMSHELL.EXE
by this line
SET RUNWORKPLACE=Y:\OFFICE50\SOFFICE.EXE
<X> is the drive where OS/2 resides and <Y> is the drive where StarOffice 5.0 is installed, like in my config.sys (see bellow):

This tip from " OS/2 e-Zine" was remembered in a mailing list of OS/2 users. I see this tip and tested it sucessfully! You have not XFolder menu enabled in the right botton of the mouse; but you can run all apps or tools you need simple clicking <start> as a Windows user and commanding <run>. If you are using Process Commander, no problem! You simple presss Ctrl+Alt+Del and the Process Commander runs immediatly in text mode. An interestiing particularity is if you are using Object Desktop Professional, like me, and if you are enabled the roll up option for all folders, you simple roll the StarOffice desktop and the applet you are using immediatly appears! And you also can use Window List feature by conventional mode, clicking the two mouse bottons at the same time, by Crtl+Esc or by keyboard with Windows botton. If you are old OS/2 user I think you don't like this working mode, as a Windows user. But if you are a open mind and accept innovations I sugest you try this tip, replacing the WPS by the SO desktop. One advantage certainly you will are: working on Windows where not exist GPFs because is running on OS/2 Warp. Note: I performed my shutdown in this replaced WPS mode using the feature of Process Commander. If you have, like me, othewr shutdown features, like the GammaTech Shutdown or The Graham Shutdown, you can performs it simple clicking <Start> and commanding "shutdown" (no quotes) in the <Run> option.
