Hi Folks.
People requested and I just tried here on my Windows 2000 Professional the Internet connection enhancer SpeedNet 3.0, released by DCVL and now developed by Paramagnus Development. I compared its performance with iNTERNET Turbo performance: sincerely, I judge that SpeedNet 3.0 is more simple and much more efficient. This soft have not a Ping feature as iNTERNET Turbo, but runs fantastic on Windows 2000. You simple unzip the file (spd3un.zip, 2.1MB) and click the Setup. Three configurations options are displayed after the install, as you can see in the photo below:

I performed some tests with this turbinator and really it improves the packets transmission: you can access more fast several congested web sites and also can download with more efficiency. The SpeedNet that I tested has been released at July 15, 1999, created by Brock Debenham.

SpeedNet is an excellent product for all computer users accessing the Internet. With operability in all versions of Windows, and an average increase in download speeds of around 300%, you can't go wrong with SpeedNet. Paramagnus Development was started by Mack Male. Brock Debenham had started his own company, DCVL Internet Group. The two met and decided to merge companies. Today, Paramagnus Development consists of four people.

 What it does

SpeedNet increases your download speeds by up to 600%.  Dial up connections will usually see an increase of speed of about 100-200%, while higher speed connections such as cable modems, ISDN, 56K, and DSL will usually see increases of 200-600%.  SpeedNet optimizes Windows in order to allow for the maximum packet size along with other settings in Windows to provide the maximum download speeds.  SpeedNet works with Windows 95, 98 and NT.

Anyone who is tired of waiting for their downloads to finish should use this product.   With a 30 day money back guarantee, its a risk free investment.  It only takes a few minutes to install and once you've tried SpeedNet, you'll never be waiting for your downloads to finish again!

System requirements: Windows 95, 98, NT.  A Pentium 100MHZ or higher is recommended, along with 8MB of RAM or higher.

Frequently Asked Questions

1. Why haven't I noticed a difference in my speed?

Speednet does NOT work with non-microsoft Dial Up Networking
connections.  That means, if you are still using Trumpet Winsock or another Dial-Up method, Speednet will NOT work.

2. The Dial-Up networking window says I'm still connected at the same
speed that I was before.  Why is this?

Speednet does not change the speed in which you connect to the internet.  Speednet changes the maximum speed in which you can transfer packets on the internet.  Even though it says you are still connected at that speed your downloads will be faster due to changes that Speednet makes.

3.  My downloads seem slower than before!  What can I do?

Even though its almost impossible for Speednet to make your download
slower, I have, nevertheless, provided the option to restore your original settings back to normal.  Just click on "Restore to the default values" in order to accomplish this.

4.  I get an error either during the setup process or during intstallation.  What can I do?

If you get an error, try to re-download the program or e-mail me with the specific error.  I'm always here to help!
