SID v0.91 image processor just released. SID is a block diagram
oriented digital image processing for CCD astronomy where data is kept as double
precision. SID is shareware, inside the archive SID091.ZIP (2680K) uploaded to Pete
Norloff's BBS. I did downloaded it and run perfectly onto Warp 4.0.
REQUESTS
Hardware
- if using display block or FDisplay then true colour display
(16 bit per pixel is adequate, although 24 is nice)
- 2 or 3 button mouse (for 3 buttons mice, MMB click, is same as RMB double click)
- 16 meg RAM
Software
- OS/2 version 3 or higher
- HPFS *
Install
1. unzip in a temporary directory
2. from OS/2 command window with temporary directory as default directory type install 3. start SID using desktop object
4. setup paths in path dialogue
5. briefly run FDisplay using desktop object
There can be install problems in SID or FDISPLAY should either failure to run SID
first
from desktop icon or should the partition change. In both cases search drives for
a `sid.ini`
file. Delete all found except file in SID directory. Don't worry if you don't find
one.
Then start SID from the desktop icon.
Use
There are three ways to start program.
double clicking on SID object
From OS/2 command line type "sid [<filename>]" where filename
is optional diagram
to display.
From drives folder double click on a diagram.
