Ryeko Information Technologies is a Sydney registered and
based software development startup companying.

RIT was officially registered and established in 1998 in State of New South Wales,
Australia. Registration no.: U580124
Why was Ryeko Information Technologies Started?
RIT was started in response to a perceived business opportunity to meet the specific
needs of the educational market. The specific needs identified include: a gap
between what existing educational software offered and what students, teachers,
academics and researchers desperately needed.
As more and more educational and edutainment software appeared there was a consistent
pattern that emerged in the characteristics of products on offer. These were mainly:
Non-empowering for the users - that is, the user was limited to interacting with
a fixed database of information. Examples - digital encyclopedias, multimedia reference
libraries, and specialised subject products.
Productivity tools with no database of information - that is, the user was empowered
by the tools to produce whatever the so desired but were not provided with references/database(s)
of information from which they could synthesize their output. Examples - spreadsheets,
wordprocessors, desktop publishers, graphics packages, etc.
Personal organizer type tools - The user was empowered to organise their time effectively,
including meetings, contacts, and schedules with varying complexities including
multimedia facilities.
All these tools related to data, information and knowledge which relational from
the users perspective. These need to be managed dynamically in a complex array
or diverse view points something not provided by a single software. To achieve
this at the minimum it means the need for a comprehensive personal knowledge warehouse
which can personalise the data, information and knowledge of the individual. It
should also provide the ability to learn and source individual's own pool of intellectual
property whenever they so desire. This is the enabling power that Ryeko-Tek_ provides!
The realisation that there was a significantly large enough market for the proposed
solution provided the business and marketing justifications for starting the company.
What are Ryeko Information Technologies Mission?

Rather than merely redesigning educational services delivery to work with the existing
mould of technology delivery systems which are largely driven by business imperatives
and, therefore, not necessarily the best for optimum educational service delivery.
We aim to redesign both educational services delivery methods and technology delivery
methods using innovative / creative software technologies in order to produce a
world's best approach to using state -of-the-art information technologies to deliver
educational services that are optimum in quality as well as satisfying rapidly growing
demand.
We see education, learning, and life's daily experiences as a continuum in the
information age. These have enormous income generating and aesthetic value to individuals,
families, groups and the society at large. Each individual has both common and unique
experiences which should be able to be harnessed to generate further benefits both
to the individual as well as to whomever one wants to share that information.
In the information age, as the clichÚ goes "Knowledge is Power".
The problem often is, however, the definition of knowledge. Since not all knowledge
is of the same value it is therefore worthwhile trying to collect all manner of
information. By using a tool like Ryeko-Tek_ one is able to convert, overtime this
information into knowledge that has power.
