During an entire month I tested exaustivelly the performance of StarOffice 5.0 Personal Edition on Windows NT. The performance is really the best! The only problem is I finally crashed bombed by virus and ERD can't save me! Currently I'm just thinking in reinstall this bugged Operating System but I'm scared...Hehehe...

Hi, Folks!
Once again I'm just fucked by Windows NT! Since 1996 I've not used this bugged soft because of a big crash that destroyed my entire IDE (Java and C++).
Now in 1999 I decide to return to Windows NT to test the StarOffice's performance. I reinstalled my NT4 and improved it with SP4. During an entire month I worked on Windows NT and really StarOffice is otimized for NT! All actions that I performed was runned very fine, in high speed! No GPFs, no crashes, no memory dumps!
I downloaded Internet Explorer 5.0 and dozens of Windows NT applications. I registered several NT sharewares from BMT Micro and other secure servers. Fortunatelly Stardock don't reply asks from users. I was intended register Object Desktop Control Center and asked about details, because I see not CPU usage monitor as the one exist on my Object Desktop Professional for Warp.
I was running fine & fastly on NT4+SP4 when I was bombed by a new virus, called W32.CIH.SPACEFILLER. I inserted in my CD_ROM drive a pirated CD with Windows98 to examine it and just the AUTORUN.EXE was started my entire trees in all partitions of an HDD formated in FAT has been bombed! All the .EXE files was infected.
Well, Windows NT is not damaged directly by the virus, but I tryed clean the .EXE files using NT Scan (Viruscan) on command line. I actualized the .DATs and performed an scan and nothing is detected. I booted and jumped the Windows95 that I have in the same partition. Inside this bugged soft I performed new scan, but I forgot that I can't use the Scam comand (is only for Windows95) and I performed it! In seconds the NT is totally damaged and can't boots. The prompt saids that NT can't boot because the file NTOSKRNEL.EXE inside System32 subdirectory is corrupted!
I've one other NTOSKRNEL.EXE in a diskette, as a reserve, an replace it quickly using the Windows95. But....nothing! My NT4 not boots! I used the Emergency Repair Disk and tryed the "R" option booting with the three diskettes from the setup set. Nothing! The NT can't be repaired!. I tryed reinstall it but it's simply impossible. The files inside the original CD can't be writted onto the HDD because the damaged installation has been fixed by Service Pack 4.
Finally I desisted and using other HDD I simply getted all my works archives from the HDD where NT resides and put this files on partitions formated in HPFS where I'm running just fine now (and on Unix partitions in Ext2, where I'm also running just fine).
If I really decide reinstall Windows NT I will go perform the only solution for this problems. I will copy the entire HDD where NT resides to other HDD using Drive Copy. When one NT crashes, I simple will replace the HDD in my mobile rack!
