NTT Software Selects Solaris
For The Intel Platform To Provide
Internet/Intranet Solutions
Leading Japanese Telecommunications

Corporation, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Nippon Telegraph

Telephone Corporation (NTT), and Sun Microsystems, Inc. today
announced that NTT Software signed a software OEM agreement
to allow
NTT Software to resell, support and integrate the SolarisTM
operating
environment for the Intel platform and SunTM software products,
including
SolsticeTM Enterprise ManagerTM network management software
and Sun
WorkShopTM development tools, to the global telecommunications
market.

An immediate result of the agreement is NTT Software's development

the WebBASE software, a Web service platform delivered on the
Solaris
operating environment for the Intel platform. Additionally,
NTT Software
is to extend the current integration business and to expand
business to the
United States and Asia.
