Hi All.
Yesterday we published with absolutely exclusivity (*) that the Service Pack 6 for Windows NT 4.0 has been released. Today November 05 we tested this fix on our server. Yeah, this year Microsoft is really working fine and this fix demonstrates this fact.

Yeah, Folks, the fix is fine but Windows NT doesn't run with the OS/2 stability. In first, Windows NT have not a real multitask. I used FAR to copy the fix's file from a ZIP disk to a /temp directory and approximately 100% of the CPU resources was used in this simply and idiot operation. Sincerely, it's incredible that a sophisticated operating system sucks all CPU's capabilities for this task! When I copy from a ZIP parallel port (yeah, I'm a obsolete man and use it, yes!) I can't make anymore on this fucked platform!!! I simply can't made the photo of this copy operation that was expended 15 minutes because any other application can run! On OS/2 Warp I made several copies like this and at the same time I surfed the Net downloading zipfiles and works on HTML with Boxer, making screenshots with Embellish without any troubleshoting!
Well, but I'm not here in order to destroy the Windows NT reputation. I installed the fix as you can see in the photo here:

Yeah, I installed this fix without troubleshotings and at the moment I'm running just fine on this fucked server without any problem!!! I'm forced to recognize that Microsoft is in real evolution, making fine releases. Yeah, man, in ALL Fix Paks from IBM for OS/2 I applied I had ever problems! This philosophic and subjective analysis demonstrates that Microsoft is in evolution while IBM is in retrogression. And there is the result: while Microsoft made Windows 2000 IBM made Warp Server for e-business and all OS/2 SOHO users are simply damned!!!
This week I tested above 30 betas for Windows 32 bits on my NT 4.0 server fixed by SP5 and my IDE was bombed by several crashes. I simply optimized it (sorry for the "optimized", Executive Team) using my freeware Diskeeper Lite, checked it with CHKDSK at boot, backuped my giant register using Resplendent Registrar, backuped my fundamental data on <C> root as Ntdetect and applied the new Service Pack! Smooth, easy, without any problem!!!
I rebooted my machine (I'm using System Commander and it asked me about if I need any boot restore and I entered
yes). Now I'm here running just fine! I noted that the delay time was reduced and that several applications now are starting more fast! CHKDSK was enhanced, I noted: now runs more slow but checks more accurately. All browsers I have here are also running rather than the before SP6 fix period.
Note that all precaution was adopted by Microsoft: an extensive readme about this Service Pack was ready for use, including one for 128 hard encryption (you can download the zipfiles with the readmes from Microsoft Server) and you will be asked about if you want read instructions when you install the fix, as you can see in the photo below:

Finally, All, I recommend this fix. You can get the file SP6i386 (34,07MB) from this URL:
