As of this release, the .class installation routine will install
on any platform with a 1.1 JVM installed - this includes HP-UX,
Irix and Macintosh. These platforms should now use the .class
installation.
Please note you require a 1.1.x Sun-compatible JVM installed on your system
*before* installing NetBeans Developer 2.0. On platforms where available,
1.1.5 is the minimum requirement, 1.1.6 is strongly recommended. The latest
JDK is available for download from http://java.sun.com/products/jdk/1.1/
For Linux platforms, 1.1.6 from http://www.blackdown.org/ is required,
NetBeans Developer does not run well with other available Linux VMs.
Bug Reports If you do encounter a bug, please check all available
documentation, both
bundled with the software, and online. Especially check the online
FAQ, which is updated frequently with any current issues and workarounds.
Make sure you are using a supported Virtual Machine - known, working
JVMs are listed on the JVMs page of the website.
If you do need to file a report, please use the online
form to do so. Do not email reports directly to the NetBeans support team.
