Namo Intercative, Inc. announced today that version 3.05 of his award-winning Visual Web Authoring Tool is now available for download. The latest version features numerous improvements, including four new Web site types in the Template Wizard. And, for the first time, we've included Namo Theme Editor, a utility you can use to edit themes and create your own, at no extra charge.

Namo WebEditor 3.05 has been released in response to the concerns and reports of many users. Thank you for your support.

Major improvements include international language fixes and program speed optimization. In addition, stability in various environments has been improved.

Registered users of Namo WebEditor 3.x can download the Namo WebEditor 3.05 upgrade (we3patch4.exe) from the Namo Interactive website (http://www.namo.com). Double-click the downloaded file to install the upgrade.

To check which version of Namo WebEditor you have installed, please perform the following steps:

1. Launch Namo WebEditor.
2. From the Help menu, select "About Namo WebEditor..."
3. Note the version number in the title bar of the resulting window.

After installing this upgrade, you may wish to verify that your copy of Namo WebEditor has been upgraded to version 3.05 by following the above instructions.

New or Improved Features in Namo WebEditor 3.05

1. New Templates for Template Wizard

• Added four new templates (site types): Association, Resume, School, and Small Shopping Mall.

  PLEASE NOTE that the membership form used in the Small Shopping Mall template is just a form. It won't do anything unless you have server software that will take the information that visitors enter in the form and do something with it. Unless you have your own Web server or your ISP allows you to install database software on their server, we recommend you don't include this form in your Web site.

2. Theme Editor Now Included

• Namo WebEditor 3.05 includes a Theme Editor that you can use to edit existing themes or create new ones that you can apply to your Template Wizard-generated Web sites. Refer to the Theme Editor User's Guide for instructions and more information.

3. Additional Spelling Dictionaries

• Namo WebEditor 3.05 now ships with the following spelling dictionaries: English(US), English(UK), French, German, Spanish, Danish, Dutch, Finnish, Italian, Norwegian, Swedish, Portuguese, and Portuguese(Brazil).
   
• You can select two dictionaries to use simultaneously. The selection is made in the Preferences dialog window.

Bug Fixes in Namo WebEditor 3.05

1. Publishing

• Fixed the error that occurs with some servers when you leave the directory field empty in the Publish Information dialog.
   
• Added Tripod Korea to the list of pre-defined servers.

2. Multi-Language Input

• Fixed the problem where certain characters in some Eastern European languages were not displayed correctly.

3. WebEditor no longer becomes slow and unresponsive when using a very small background image.

4. The edit window no longer blinks sometimes when you switch between open documents using the document tabs.

Shareware

You may use Namo WebEditor 3.0 free of charge for 20 days for evaluation purposes. Commercial use of this program without registration is prohibited.

You can distribute Namo WebEditor freely to other people as long as you don't alter the original installation files. Distributing Namo WebEditor in an altered form, or distributing a partial set of the included files, is prohibited by law.

Though the image filter that displays graphic files was written by Namo Interactive Inc., GIF files can be displayed only by registered copies of Namo WebEditor because the company that holds the patent for the LZW algorithm, Unisys, receives a patent fee for each usage of the algorithm. However, users with unregistered copies of Namo WebEditor can still use GIF files in editing because WebEditor knows the size of GIF format files.
