Downloads page fixed

I apologize to many users who tried to ge mSQL ports and other software from The mSQL PC Home Page this week and could not view the downloads page from this site. The file downloads.htm got corrupted at the server and I was out of the office, unable to upload a correct file. Being a part-time WebMaster has its problems...



mSQL-JDBC bug fixes

During the week George Reese released a series of small bug-fixes for both the JDK 1.1.x and the Java 2 version of mSQL-JDBC. You only need to get the latest ones (1.1a3 and 2.0b4) and you don't need to have an older release availabe to install the bug fixes.



How to install DBD::mSQL under the latest ActiveState Perl

After many users got problems when trying to install Joshua build of DBD::mSQL under newer releases of ActiveState Perl, Joshua got a workaround to make the installation work.



New installation for mSQL 2.0.4.1 for Win32

Joshua created a new package for installing the VC++ build of his port of mSQL for Win32. Not it uses a InstallShield wizzard that works under Windows 95, 98 and NT.



mSQL PC Home Page reviwed by Webfoot!

Each month, the Southern California OS/2 User Group reviews 10 web sites, and on July this site was reviewd, getting A for Content, A forLinks and B- for Glit. A very nice review!



mSQL-JDBC 2.0.b2 and mSQL-JDBC 1.1.a1

George Reese from The Center for Imaginary Environments reelased the first beta release of the Java 2 JDBC driver for mSQL. A few days later, he released a new (alpha) release of the JDBC driver for Java 1.1.x, which now includes DatabaseMetaData support, ported back from the Java 2 driver. George also released a quick bug-fix for the Java 2 driver, which become beta 2.



Msql-Mysql-Modules 1.2200

Not really news (this was a month ago, please accept my apologies for the delay) but Jochen Wiedmann Released a new version of Msql-Mysql-Modules, which includes the DBI driver for mSQL (DBD::mSQL) for Perl 5 programs. You can download it from any CPAN mirror, for example ftp://ftp.funet.fi/pub/languages/perl/CPAN/authors/id/JWIED
