Another Windows GUI for mSQL
Kolja Glogowski released a new GUI client for mSQL, which has almost allthe capabilities of msql.exe, relshow.exe and msqladmin.exe. This is a very small download (only 87Kb), a simple and usefull utility well on the spirit of mSQL.
The new GUI utility already uses Joshua support files for VC++.
mSQL for Win32 using Visual C++
Joshua Dinerstein released a MS VC++ port of mSQL 2.0.4.1, now enabling the creation and port of mSQL-related software using the most popular C++ compiler for Windows, instead of the CygWin environment. You can download the full port or only the client utilities and libraries, and you can mix CygWin servers with VC++ clientes and the other way out.
It's amazing that Joshua reported that the VC++ server is many times slower than the CygWin server. Joshua expects that a Watcom C++ build (which is on the works) should be much faster, and my own experience with Microsoft and Watcom compilers agrees with that.
