Hi
All.
People requested and I tested here on my Windows 2000 Professional this latest
fine piece of software by Microsoft that is MSN Explorer. I downloaded quickly
this little executable, called msnsetup_min.exe (4.95MB) and installed it without
problems. But unfortunately this nice browser is buggy on Windows 2000 environment:
the Favorites menu runs blinking and the user can't click any option.

I imported my Favorites (photo above) from Microsoft Internet Explorer and at the first time this menu have not problem. But at the second time I simply can't use it. I removed MSN and the Messenger 3.0 using the native Uninstaller of Windows 2000 (Ad/Remove Programs in the Control Panel options, inside Settings) and restored my Registry using Resplendent Registrar. I reinstalled MSN but the bug appears once again. I fixed the Registry using Fix-It 2000 but the problem is not solved.

Note that this fine browser is for MSN users (people that use it as a ISP) but you can runs fine using another connection. I used an Internet Service Provider called Cruiser and the MSN Explorer connected fine and quickly. But note that you must have and email account on MSN or on Hot Mail in order to use the MSN Explorer. If you have not this account the install creates one for you in few minutes (if the MSN server is not overloaded). The most innovative and interesting characteristic is the ability to use the Hot Mail web mail as a pop mail of any ISP!!! Incredible, but using MSN Explorer, as you can see in the photo above, the Hot Mail web mail is loaded inside the browser at the simple mouse click on a Star and you can send and receive e mails in real time such one pop account of any ISP!!
Other very important enhancement in this new browser is the high speed. Yeah, man, with this MSN you will surf rather than all other browsers, including the MS Explorer latest edition! During my test I was surfing very slow and I suppose that the Net was overloaded or the ISP was supercharged. But I used my Net Medic and verified my Task Manager and I discovered that the problem is different. I started the MSN making a new connection and verified that the Net Medic and the Task Manager numbers was exactly the same I encountered using MS IE in the previous connection. Well, using MSN I surfed in these conditions no more slow but very fast! I loaded easy and smooth five web pages in the same time that I spend for load only one of these using MS IE. Note that all pages used for this test are new and are not stored in cache.
MSN Explorer have much more, a lot of innovations, and I recommend that you download it and try it in order to evaluate this new browser by yourself. To get this one quickly simply jump to my merchant partner CNET at Download.com an seek for MSN Explorer. Click the logo below and enjoy:
