Larsen Commander has reached its eleventh public Beta release, which is version 0.99.8.
You can download it and find
more information at
http://home.sol.no/~leilarse/lcmd/index.html
This is the last free beta release before the 1.0 shareware release. the author had hoped to make support for ZIP-files in the 1.0 release, but it will have to wait until version 1.1 when it is considered to be stable and snappy enough. It will come, however.
You can download version 0.99.8 from the URL above. This is still a Beta release, so be aware that it possibly contain some bugs -saids Larsen.
- But this version should be very stable. There are no serious bugs that I am aware of. I will continue to develop Larsen Commander, and you will always find the latest public release at this page first. I will only upload and make public the versions of Larsen Commander that are considered to be stable - saids the developer.
Larsen Commander is freeware at the time being,
but it will turn into shareware as soon as it reach version 1.0. Until then
you are free to use the Larsen Commander beta at no cost at all. I will only
ask you for comments and bug reports, which you can send to
leifel@online.no.

What is it?
Larsen Commander is a classic file manager program, directly inspired by the
famous Norton Commander and by the great File Commander.
Larsen Commander has a true Graphical User Interface (GUI) with a built in Command
Line and scrollable Console Monitor. Below you have a screen shot of a typical
Larsen Commander configuration made by Embellish on @Macarlo's OS/2 Warp 4.0
