initiative, in alliance with SCO, Sequent, and
Intel, will create a high-volume platform that
expands business opportunities for ISVs and OEMs.
A single UNIX operating system product line will
run on Intel IA-32, IA-64, and IBM
microprocessors in computers that range from

"Blue Pacific", the world's fastest computer,
will
break the "speed barrier" by performing 3.9
trillion calculations per second. "Blue Pacific"
is a variation of a commercially available IBM
RS/6000 SP, IBM's highly-scalable supercomputer
