GENESIS CREATES SUPPLY CHAIN MANAGEMENT SOFTWARE USING VISUALAGE RPG

Genesis recently completed its premier supply chain management application, XO/Commerce. Built using IBM VisualAge RPG, it features a revolutionary software design called Er/a (Entity Relationship and Attribute). FIREMAN'S FUND DEVELOPS NEW ARCHITECTURE FOR THE ENTERPRISE USING VISUALAGE FOR JAVA

Every day, Fireman's Fund Insurance Company (FFIC) protects its customers' commercial and personal assets. At the same time, FFIC must also protect its own IT investments. That's why they've developed a new architecture for the enterprise, based on VisualAge for Java, that will facilitate the future migration of legacy applications and data to the Internet. As a first step in this direction, FFIC launched AutoQuote, an application that enables their customer service representatives to quote rates for Personal Insurance automobile policies over the phone to customers and insurance agents.
