Hi All.
I was Home Site 4.5 beta tester and now I tested the GA on Windows NT4 SP6. For some webmasters this tool from Allaire is the best in show, but not for me. I tested this web editor on my exclusive test machine, a Pentium 200 + 128 MB RAM + 448 MB pagined and this Home Site runs excessive slow. All other web editors that I tested on this PC, including Macromedia Dreamweaver are running here just fine, fast and smooth. Unfortunately the Home Site dll really is not for Windows NT. Interesting, on Windows 98 this web editor runs fine...I'm Home Site registered user (I purchased my license for version 4.0 in Beyond.com and registered it in Allaire). But I not use this web editor because I simply use not Windows 95/98...Yeahhh, I'm not normal (I'm OS/2 user and I like stability....) and Windows for me is only the Windows built on NT technology. Conclusion: for me Home Site is a tremendous bugaboo...

   HOMESITE 4.5
   File size: 9.7MB
   License: Demo ($89.99)
   Minimum requirements: Windows 95/98/NT 4.0

The new version of this popular HTML editor is    finally here. Homesite can perform almost any imaginable HTML task, and this updated version adds the ability to collapse HTML code to make your page easier to read. Also featured in this release are a new split-window editing  mode, dockable resource tabs, and much more. There's no place like home:

Home Site is a very popular web editor and several famous webmasters are using it; well, I judge that you is a Windows 95/98 user and if you want an efficient web editor you can agree Home Site. Note that I'm talking about registered versions, not about files ripped by F.O.S.I. or cracked by Ivanopulo, because cracked dlls are always a serious problem...But, sincerely, man, if you are seeking for a decent WYSIWYG web editor for Windows NT (and Windows 2000 of course...) I encourage you to register Namo; if you need not design mode because you are an effective HTML expert I encourage you to register HotDog Webmaster Suite; if you are a not normal person like me (because I'm OS/2 user), I encourage you to join Boxer. Finally if you are a normal user (using Windows 95/98) I encourage you to register Home Site (in this case, man, enjoy GPFs...).

Allaire Home Site have a fine code sweeper and check links fine. Have also a design mode. But if you need insert a link in a text line or in a photo you must enter in edit mode (HTML code) for perform this task, because Home Site have not this banal option in his toolbar (well, you can choose the anchor tag and click it for a complicated query...). If you have a web site with thousands pages as my web site (above four thousand pages), try Home Site and see by yourself...Two minutes in minimum for open all files into the open window! Namo web editor perform this task in few seconds...and also Macromedia DW perform it in few seconds.

I installed Home Site 4.5 without problems on my Windows NT4 SP6 as you can see in the photo below:

But I simply desist in use for serious works Home Site on Windows NT because runs very slow. I can't, however, comdemn definitely this web editor foe NT users. I will test it on Windows 2000 Professional. Expect for me...
