Hi All.
Are you seeking for a FTP client really improved, intuitive, efficient? I just tested this one here on my Server NT4 SP6 - FTP Voyager version 7.1, by Rhino Soft, ASP member. I'm registered user of several FTP clients for OS/2 Warp and for Windows and I decided no more register another because I prefer the old fashioned mode and the only FTP that I use at this time is just the command line. But this FTP Voyager I recommend enthusiastically because is really good.

 
FTP Voyager 7.1 - Rated 5 Butterflies

 FTP Voyager is an FTP Client program for Windows 95/NT 4.0.  It is patterned after the Windows Explorer.  FTP Voyager allows you to upload and download to virtually any FTP site, whether the site is on your local network or if your site is on the Internet. FTP Voyager is shareware and must be registered after your evaluation period, if you continue to use it.  Registration entitles you to 1 year of support via e-mail and 1 year of free updates and upgrades.  Registration also bypasses those annoying "nag" dialog boxes.

 I tested FTP Voyager 7.1 working with it on my web site, updating several pages and uploading a lot of images. Currently my principal web site, located in a server in UK, have thousands pages and thousands of images and it nos simply for a FTP client running in graphical mode retrieve his complete directory list. Several FTP in graphical mode that I tested, including the famous Cute FTP, presented a delay that I consider excessive for this task. FTP Voyager has performed this job in a time that I consider excellent for a graphical FTP client that runs with drag-and-drop or by command at the pop-up menu. In the photo below you can see FTP Voyager 7.1 uploading some images to my web site.

 Navigating a remote system is simple because you see a graphical display of the server's file tree. Multiple files and folders can be selected for transfer. The program saves your session profiles, plus it comes preloaded with lots of popular FTP sites. It also features automatic resumption of broken uploads or downloads; local, remote, and log views for easy data transfers; online editing of files; folder synchronization for one-click Website maintenance; drag-and-drop support; a transfer queue complete with scheduler; and more.

I installed this new version of FTP Voyager in few seconds on my Server Windows NT4 SP6 as you can see in the photo above and  immediately started it in order to test it (no reboot was needed). Using the FTP Site Profile Manager that you can see in the screenshot below I created a new folder for the several web sites under @Macarlo, Inc. Internet Services administration.

As the first step of my test working on the Net I accessed the Microsoft Developers Web Site in order to suck any data for increase my resources, as you can see in the photo below. With a simple click of my mouse I jumped this MS place quickly and sucked fine all data needed!

The copy that I used is a trial copy (evaluation, 30 days) and it is fully functional. In order to get one for see by yourself which this FTP client is good you must jump the developers web site. The file is ftpvsetup.exe (2.4MB). In the photo below you can see the About of this version.

In the next screenshot below you can see FTP Voyager examining the /pub directory of Rhino Soft FTP site and you can see the queue window opened at the bottom.

 Program Features

FTP Voyager is modeled after the Windows Explorer graphical interface,
making it easy to learn and easy to use.  The following features are
designed to make everyday use of FTP fast and efficient.

 - Session management makes it easy to connect to the FTP server of your
   choice and to keep a directory of frequented sites.

 - Downloading files from, or uploading files to a server is as simple
   as selecting a file and dragging it to the desired directory or
   clicking on the command you desire.  There's no need to remember
   the command set of the FTP program.

 - Navigating the remote system is made much simpler with a graphical
   display of the server's file tree.

 - Multiple files may be selected for transfer, including directories.

 - Drag and Drop allows you to simply drag a file or directory to the
   Windows desktop or to the Windows Explorer.  You can also drag from
   the Windows Explorer and drop on your FTP site!
 
 - Remember that registration of the program entitles you to 1 year of
   email support and upgrades for all version 7.x updates.

Installation

Run the self-extracting file ftpvsetup.exe to unzip and install
FTP Voyager.  The installation wizard will guide you through the install
process.
