Developer Peter
Moylan just released new version of his FtpServer, the 0.61.
There is a new version of FtpServer at

or http://eepjm.newcastle.edu.au/html/freeware.html
List of changes
Version 0.61
Fixed a problem related to out-of-band data while processing an "abort"
operation.
Changed the "transfer failed" error code to fix an incompatibility with
NcFtp's "abort" operation.
NLST no longer includes directories in its listing.
Major internal restructuring to avoid redundant directory lookups.
Modified the interpretation of the Unix-like listing flags to
be more compatible with NcFtp's "get recursive".
Minor change to the definition of user logging level.
Transfer times in user log now reported to two decimal places.
In Monitor utility, the host can be specified as either a
numeric IP address or a textual hostname.
- Warning: there have been some major internal changes to improve efficiency, and
because of this version 0.61 cannot be considered to be as well-tested as the earlier
versions. I've checked it out as well as I can, but it's hard to guarantee that
there aren't bugs that I did not manage to find in my testing - said Moylan.
- I have, in fact, had one crash during my internal testing, but because of the
unusual circumstances I have not been able to track down the cause. (A power failure
caused our entire network to go down, and at approximately the same time FtpServer
failed with an exception. Our system manager, for some reason, is not willing to
let me try to duplicate the problem.) - said.
-------------------------------
- Starting with this release, the IPF source code for the manual is included in
source.zip. This makes it accessible to people who are thinking of doing a translation.
(If all goes well, there should soon be a German translation. Someone also offered
to do French and Italian translations, but my reply to him bounced, so I don't know
whether I'll ever get back in contact with him.) - said author.
-------------------------------
- For those of you who have been wondering about the next release of Weasel: I'm
hoping to have a new version in about a couple of weeks. Adding the optional relay
mail support turned out to be a bigger job than I expected, so I'm still filling
in some of the details. In addition, the anti-junk-mail checks are not easy to do,
so only some of that will be ready in time for the next version - said Moylan.
