Theseus/2 is a program for monitoring how much RAM certain applications use,
and it's really good for finding memory leaks. The update has made because Theseus
3000 don't runs correctly on Warp 4 FP13. The new file is Theseus 3002.

OS/2 Client 4.5
Folks,
I just applied the long-awaited FixPak 13 on my
Warp 4 FP12 today April 5, 2000, without problems and now I'm running here really
fine: now my OS/2 Client finally is version 4.5! I downloaded the files .dk
and extracted the images using the Diunpack released at 1996 by IBM (inside
fastkick141.zip available on Hobbes). When the system has been serviced I rebooted,
the locked device drivers has been deferred, and my CAD Commander by Perez Computing
Services has recognized fine the new level. Also is running fine with this new
level the old and good PM Patrol, Object Desktop Professional 1.52 and XWorplace
0.91 (the sucessor of X Folder). All of 415 applications that I've installed
in this Warp apparently have no problems,. At this time I yet started 214 apps
fine. Now I'm using my Warp 4 FP13 in great style: my CPU usage has minimized
for all jobs and the efficiency in all tasks was increased in minimum 10%. My
boot blue screen now shows at the left bottom corner: "Internal revision
14.040_W4".

In order to apply this FixPak by the old fashioned mode (or are you a RSU enthusiast? If you are, see the last photo of this review...) you must put all .dk files in a temporary directory (as Temp) ; in the same root you must make another directory, called Fixpak. Unzip inside Temp the fastkick141.zip files and extract the disk images to Fixpak one-by-one using the same command line that you can see in the photo below:

After the complete images extraction you must click the Fix.cmd to start the Corrective Service Facility as you can see in the photo below:

In seconds the CSF will open a window and shows the Serviceable products available on your machine, as you can see in the photo below:

Simply click the Service key and the CSF begins the FixPak13 install. If you have another Fix applied (e.g. FP12) the CSF will seek the Archive directory and ask you for a location for the Backup FP13. You can creates in your root a directory called FP13arch or another name that you prefer for the CSF Backup.

During the FixPak installation you will asked by CSF about some files. Its normal that you have in your machine some dll most recent that the Fix have, because you perhaps installed very recent softs. In my case I have several most recent dll used in Rexx compilers and in another compilers. If you authorize, the CSF skips these files. In the photo below you can CSF asking me about Unpack2.exe.

During the FixPak installation I suggest that you have not any application started. You don't must try to make screenshots such me because your system is being serviced and can freezes. Remember that I'm using a special machine for alpha and beta tests (my HDDs are mirrored and entire backuped; my original OS/2 kernel file and my INI files are stored in a secure disk and I can restore my 10 latest desktops in few minutes using the snapshots made by Object Desktop Professional. Note also that I'm using Control+Alt+Del Commander from Perez Computing Services in replacement for Process Commander since FP12 and I can kill all processes I intend). I consider the method I used for this Fix application is the most secure. Some people are enthusiasts of RSU, but you can see in the photo below a RSU problem, related in a OS/2 users mailing list.

With FP13 your Warp is finally Y2K compliant. This new Fix upgrades you OS/2 to a level similar of the Warp Server for e-Business. But don't expect for miracles. If you are needing increase your efficiency in your works with Warp OS/2 Client I encourage you to applie this new Fix. According to the readme.1st for FixPak 13, it requires a new release level of the CSF. Release level f.142 is now available at: ftp://service.boulder.ibm.com/ps/products/os2/fixtool/english-us The self-extracting executable is CS_142.EXE, and the readme is CS_142.TXT. I used the CSF from fastkick141.zip and the Fix 13 was installed perfectly...
