System Requirements:
OS/2 Warp 4
OS/2 Warp 3 see DIVE
16 Mb Ram
Pentium Processor
16-Bit-Soundcard ( Wavetable
recommended ).
Note: Crown of Might should run on (fast) 486-machines, but
animation speed is bit too slow.
The whole story starts with a mysterious old book, that will not be withholded
from you. Open the book and follow the story! But beware, don't go too
fast, there's no way back!
In general your main mission is to unite the English realm by defeating
all your opponents, Normans as well as Saxons. As these are hard times, you
will not succeed without using force. Remember you don't seem to be surrounded
by obliging gentlemen.
But maybe that not the Grand Victory you strive for. For some of
you it might be sufficient to just have taken part. One or another possibly
may be struck with a deep longing for heroic fall and he slides into a romantic
failure dormant deep in his mind. But finally it's up to you how to achieve
your end.
The Adventure
Your adventure starts on a map of mediaeval
England in the year of 1197.
The kingdom devides into 18 territories. Six of the lands have castles. Three of these territories are held by Saxon lords (Northern part, blue flags). You can easily identify our own home territory. Look at the silver army-shield. Moreover this shield serves as a troup-indicator of your campaign army.
Three lands are held by Norman lords (Southern part,
red flag). The remaining lands are (still) not owned. The territories
differ in the amount of
monthly taxes as well as the number of vassales that automatically join
your
campaign army provided you're the first to occupy the land.
